Voor een derde opstand, in 1927, riepen een Koerden in het noordoosten van nederland een Republiek Ararat uit.

Na een val betreffende Ur in 2004 v.Chr. kan zijn dit minder overduidelijk hetgeen daar betreffende de plaats gebeurd is. Urbel, zoals de plaats in die tijd genoemd werd, mag mogelijk enige tijd zijn onafhankelijkheid gehandhaafd hebben. Tussen het rijk van Šamši-Adad viel het mogelijk eerst tussen Qabra. Die plaats kan zijn mogelijk met Tell Baqrta gelijk te stellen, zo'n 28 km zuidzuidwestelijk.

For most people, Kurdistan and Iraq kan zijn probably not going to be a place they would seek to travel to but it’s posts like this one which opvoering the human side to these destinations that will hopefully inspire people to visit. And shawarma, everyone loves shawarma…..
